Bluestone & Hockley began in 1972 when Sid Bluestone, along with his wife Sylvia, established the firm of S. Bluestone Realty. In 1987, the firm was purchased by Sid and Sylvia's daughter, Julie and her husband Cliff Hockley, who then established Bluestone & Hockley. Since 1987, the company has expanded its residential management division and established a strong commercial division focusing on the sale, leasing, and management of commercial properties. Today Bluestone & Hockley is a major player in the commercial real estate market with a total of over 5,200 management units in both their residential and commercial division. The Portland Business Journal has ranked Bluestone & Hockley as one of the top 25 largest commercial brokerage firms in the area. Yet, we're small enough that we haven't forgotten the values of professional service and trustworthy attention to the properties in our care, which have guided us through more than thirty successful years of service. As members of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Bluestone & Hockley was awarded Accredited Management Organization (AMO) status in 1998, and President, Cliff Hockley, is a Certified Property Manager and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Bluestone & Hockley is a company that honors diversity and has a real commitment to making the Portland metro area a truly great community.
