The Bluestone & Hockley Green initiatives committee is hard at work, looking for ways we can make the phrase “Blue Knows Green” be more than just a catchy phrase. We are meeting monthly with a goal of introducing a company wide initiative each quarter. We expect that some will be very significant (handling disposal of fluorescent bulbs) to not so significant. The goal is to introduce polices, procedures and concepts that support overall goals of sustainability and protecting the environment. We are pleased to announce we have recently created an internal “Green Initiatives” Committee.

The purpose of the new committee will be to serve as a clearinghouse for the growing number of sustainability issues and opportunities facing the broad range of services and sectors we are involved in. “Blue Knows Green” has been a motto of our company for several years as we have taken a lead among full service real estate firms in addressing sustainability issues.
